Mermaid 1 Indonesia Itineraries (June to Oct.) Mermaid I will once again offer six-day/ seven-nights to the fabulous Komodo and Rinca areas east of Bali for the summer and fall of 2007. See below for a detailed itinerary departing from Benoa Harbor on South Bali. Price includes accommodation on board, all meals, most drinks, divemaster services, tanks, weights, and belts. Nitrox tanks $5.00 US each. Airport or hotel transfers from southern Bali are free (Airport, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Kuta Beach, Seminyak, Benoa, and Sanur), and from other locations on Bali, between $20 and $30 US per person, payable on board. Park fees for Komodo and the other areas we visit are now $35 Euro, payable in cash on board. As of May 1, 2008, there is an additional 140 Euro fuel surcharge initiated by the boat owners to cover the continual rise of fuel prices in Indonesia and elsewhere. This, along with the national park and port fees are payable on board for a total of 175 Euro or equivalent in other currencies. "All contributions to the Conservation Fund will be used to support nature conservation, community development and eco-tourism infrastructure development in the Park as well as to support destination-marketing programs, regionally and internationally... Departure Day	16:00 Board boat, briefing 19:00 Dinner and departure for Moyo Island, northwest Sumbawa.	No diving on departure day
Day One	Start your adventure with 2 dives in the calm clear waters of Angel and Panjang Reefs at Moyo. Enjoy lunch as we cruise for 2 hours to Satonda Island. A special show will delight you at sunset followed by a fantastic night dive. After dinner, we cruise overnight to Bima, on the north coast of Sumbawa.	3 dives
Day Two	Dive Sangeang Islands for nudibrancs, pygmy seahorses, and underwater hot springs that support unique marine life. Cruise to Gili Banta for dives at Tanduk Rusa for big fish and pristine corals, then GPS Point, famous for sharks and pelagics, and fun currents. Night dive at Gilli Banta for grey bamboo and coral cat sharks or if weather dictates, we'll move to Gili Lawalaut.	4 dives
Day Three	If conditions allow, we do another dive at GPS Point then two day-dives around the crystal clear waters of Gili Lawalaut 1 ½ hours away. Loads of fish action, colorful corals and the chance for turtles, giant Maori wrasse, bump head parrot fish and maybe manta rays. We then cruise south for a fascinating night dive at Pink Beach near the Komodo National Park Headquarters.	4 dives
Day Four	Start your day with an exciting visit to Komodo National Park to walk with the dragons. Then relax as we cruise 2-hours south to Horseshoe Bay, Rinca Island. Spectacular diving awaits at world famous sites such as Cannibal Rock and The Yellow Wall of Texas. Watch dragons on the beach, monkeys, deer, wild pigs along the shore, go beach combing …maybe even a chance to follow whales and dolphin feeding in the calm bay. We overnight at this peaceful place, night diving at one of the many fabulous spots. Water temps here are cold, so be prepared.	3 dives
Day Five	First dive in Horseshoe Bay area, then we cruise for 2-hours to check out the action at Manta Alley, south Komodo. Dive 3 we head north to the best of Gili Lawalaut. Then we say goodbye to Komodo National Park as we cruise west enjoying a post dinner night dive along the way. Overnight we cruise to Satonda Island.	4 dives
Day Six	We enjoy two fantastic dives at Satonda and Moyo islands, then overnight to Benoa, Bali.	2 dives
Return Day	After breakfast we transfer you ashore at 9:00 AM to either continue your holiday or get on a plane home. (Yes, you may fly today.)	No Diving Total Dives ~20
Note: Longer itineraries will spend more time in places where the diving will be best, but the areas visited do not change. A full set of rental diving equipment is charged at $30 US per day. Camera and video rental is available. We strongly recommend that you have a diving computer, and these trips are not really meant for beginning divers.
